Coach Pia Acevedo: A Life Lived on Purpose

Every founder has a story. Coach Pia found her life purpose after surviving her way into one life-altering moment.

At the age of 29, she went into anaphylactic shock that nearly took her life. That moment of sheer helplessness and terror wedged its way into her consciousness, a point of questioning everything that she ever possessed and achieved: Have I loved enough? Have I lived with purpose? That turning point in her life became a glaring lens of the gap between her outward success and her inner emptiness.

Out of that gap came a mission she has carried ever since, one that shows up in everything she now teaches: life is not something to be endured or optimized. It is something to be chosen, deliberately, on purpose, every single day. Believing life is too short to live distracted or misaligned, she founded The OneCORE to help people make better life decisions and focus on what truly matters, guiding individuals — especially those in seasons of transition — toward self-mastery, clarity, and a more meaningful life.

The Discipline Behind the Purpose

Living on purpose is easy to say and hard to sustain. What sets Coach Pia apart is that her sense of purpose is backed by real rigor and years of craft.

She is an Accredited Master Coach and a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach, with over 25 years of experience in human capital development, leadership, and emotional intelligence. A Harvard Business School graduate of Behavioral Economics, she built a human-centric approach that fuses neuroscience and behavioral economics with real, lived empathy — a method that doesn’t just tell people what to do, but helps them understand *why* they do what they do, and how to choose differently.

This is what separates her work from generic self-help: not a title for its own sake, but a depth of skill earned over 25 years and applied with precision. To her team and peers, she’s simply “Coach P” — a name that carries the same warmth and directness that defines her work.

That discipline gave shape to OneCORE, founded to provide life-skills and clarity-based coaching for executives, families, and organizations. At its center is a demanding principle: *you can’t give what you do not have.* Before anyone can lead, parent, or serve others well, they first have to do the work on themselves. This belief anchors OneCORE’s framework of Life Integration — five aspects of a person’s life (Self, Family, Social Life, Career/Academics, and Sense of Purpose) held not as separate compartments to balance, but as one whole life to align with real intention.

Under her leadership, OneCORE launched The Clarity Movement, using brain-based diagnostics to help individuals move from a “Challenged Zone” to a “Clarity Zone” — turning purpose into something measurable, not just aspirational.

The Life Behind the Movement

Coach Pia’s advocacy came directly from that 2004 near-death experience, which left her physically unharmed but spiritually transformed. In those critical moments, she realized that personal clarity — integrating your values, strengths, and life experiences — wasn’t a luxury. It was the necessary foundation for a life lived by design, not by default.

That realization sent her inward first. She committed to her own inner work and to professional coaching before turning that commitment into something others could walk through with her:

OneCORE, the organization she founded as the primary engine for The Clarity Movement, integrating neuroscience and behavioral economics to help people “focus on what matters.”

The Clarity Journey framework, her structured approach to personal growth — moving individuals from a Challenged Zone to a Clarity Zone through authenticity and self-mastery, turning philosophy into a repeatable, teachable process.

The Clarity Movement itself, a community where individuals support one another in the pursuit of clarity, built on a belief she returns to often: the journey to clarity is not a race. It is a return to oneself — and a return that has to be chosen, again and again, not left to chance.

The Everyday Proof

None of this holds up if it only lives on a stage. It has to hold up at home.

For Coach Pia, family is not a priority separate from her work — it’s her laboratory, the place where her methodologies are tested, refined, and lived out long before they’re offered to any client. She believes one’s family is a person’s first circle, the earliest and most honest proving ground for everything she teaches about self-mastery and life integration.

By prioritizing her family and showing up fully as a mother, she models the same work-life integration she asks of her high-performance clients. She doesn’t just teach people to live with purpose — she practices it, in the unglamorous, everyday moments of raising a family alongside building a movement.

A Life By Design

Visionary. Advocate. Mother. Three roles, one throughline: a woman who almost lost her life, and chose, from that point forward, to never live it by accident again.

That choice is the standard Coach Pia holds herself to before she ever asks it of a client, and it’s the same invitation at the heart of The Clarity Movement: not to arrive at some finished state of having it all figured out, but to keep choosing, deliberately, what truly matters.
